More recently, we’ve been offering clients the option to have a whole-family photo taken at the reception.

One neat thing about the above photo is that it is 100% candid and unposed.  We had just come from the ceremony and had been wandering about the park for a bit when I noticed the groom had gone off the pathway we were all on - you can see the bridesmaids on the pathway in the background - and he just relaxed upon this soccer net we came across.  I’m glad I was nearby to capture the look of happiness on his face as gazed off into the distance at nothing in particular.

This couple chose our Photography + Video Package.  Notice that each of the ”stylized” bridal portraits below features a different aspect of the bride such as front of the dress, back of the dress, veil, eyes.  (The tradional bridal portraits were also taken.)  The total number of photos came to 1400 for the day.  We previously had filmed the wedding of this bride’s sister and it was pleasant for us to go back and be in the situation where we were spending the day with people with whom we have a bit of familiarity.

 Our two photographers ended up with a total of 1200 pictures for the day on this one.

Just moments before the start of the ceremony.

Here’s an example of our most-requested special effect:  the color pass.  The color pass has been around for a long time in wedding photography and, lately, television commercials have taken to using it quite a bit.

I’m always glad when we are able to get this particular photo, which is taken from the bride’s point of view as she’s processing down the aisle.  The look on the groom’s face, just as the bride saw it, is preserved forever.

First moment alone together as husband and wife.

The Red Circle Inn has it all right there in one location:  ceremony area, bar/cocktail area, dining room, and spots right on the grounds to get some nice outdoor pics.  The couple and their guests had the whole upper level to themselves.

Being officially introduced right before their First Dance.

Mother-Son Dance.  In the upper-right corner of the picture, the mother-of-the-bride’s flash went off just as I snapped this photo.  Her flash makes for kind of a cool effect here, I think. 

Father-Daughter Dance.

Flower girl comes down aisle too fast and loses shoe.  Wedding at St. Maria Goretti, Madison.

“Vibrant”.  The Wedding was at Boerner Botanical Garden in Hales Corners.

“Mood”.  The wedding was at Trinity Lutheran in Cedarburg.

“Colorful”.  The wedding was at Holy Apostles Catholic in New Berlin.

“History”.  Martin Luther King gave a speech here at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center.

The girls usually do better than the boys at coming down the aisle on the big day.  The wedding was at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox in Wauwatosa.

The smile on this groom’s face as he watches his girl come down the aisle.  The wedding was at Community United Methodist in Elm Grove.

The bridesmaid was late for the rehearsal so a stand-in was needed.  The wedding was at Trinity Episcopal in Oshkosh.
